License Design Manager

The License Design Manager provides design oversight for license kiosk and in-line store designs. The License Design Manager also manages and supports current approved license program vendors in their planning and implementation of new design elements into new license project opportunities as well as remodeling support for the existing license store base.  Own the design process for license program development for both EBB and Caribou license platforms.  Must be comfortable working within tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.  Attention to detail a must.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Vendor Management:  Oversee and own the license manufacturing vendor relationship) from the conceptual plan process through drawing development.
  • Project Drawing Review:  Facilitate the process for design reviews for licensee locations by supporting license partner architects and vendors on the production and design intent review of each new license store CD set.
  • Prototype Documentation Management:  Maintain accuracy and current brand direction on all prototypical documents (Prototype CD set, Design Manual, Equipment Manual)
  • Design Intent: Provide design leadership and expertise to domestic license team by assisting in identifying properly manufactured & installed décor, finish & lighting packages.
  • Communication: Report and support entire license team on design deliverables and timelines.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Education/Training/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture/Interior Design required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in architecture and/or interior design with an emphasis in restaurant or retail projects required. License experience helpful
  • AutoCAD experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience managing outside consultants.
  • Strong background in project management including internal cross-functional partnership grounded in design.
  • Experience in coordination of architectural, Mechanical Electric and Plumbing (MEP) and interior design consultants to facilitate Construction Drawing (CD) production.
